Announcing Poetry with Poultry

Life is short, so it’s important to have fun and run with your creative ideas, even if they seem wacky. Which brings us to … Poetry with Poultry! Everyone says you should “write the story” that only you can write – make the art that only you can uniquely make.

One of my muses was reminding me of this when an idea came to me – to start filming videos of me reading poetry (in and of itself … bor-ing) with my flock (Oooh! Harmless and weird and fun).

What If We All …

In this section of LifeSoup, I include a suggestion on what each of us can do to try to nudge the Earth needle just a smidge in a more sustainable direction. A smidge! Don’t get excited or offended. 😉

Here goes: Take a walk through your house (and/or office) and unplug cords that aren’t in constant use. A little birdie told me that this can save a lot of energy and some money, and maybe it’ll help the planet if we all do this.

When I did this exercise, I found about seven plugs that were wasting energy. I do leave cords plugged in if they’re in hard-to-reach places, but otherwise, it’s just as easy to plug in chargers, lamps, or small appliances only when needed.
