Welcome to this edition of LifeSoup. In 2021, I rented a cabin with a friend, and for a short weekend, we worked furiously on our own projects – hers was an exciting new business plan, and mine was to focus on my current novel draft. It was exhilarating!
I share this because I think it’s important to make the time and space to give your creativity a priority in your life. Speaking as someone who is lying low during Covid-19 and sharing a house with three others and three dogs – having quiet time alone is precious. If you have the means to get away for a day or two, do it (of course, avoid crowds, wear a mask, wash your hands – all of it). You’ll come back centered, refreshed, and hopefully with a chunk of your project completed.
Have you ever taken a mini-break like this for yourself? If so, use the comments section below to tell me about it! And if you’re a writer in need of an afternoon retreat, learn about the “Write Your Novel” event I’m leading at EarthJoy Treehouse Village in September 2022.
Peace, love, and creativity,
~ Cherie Dawn

One more note ~ you can read “Personified” for FREE through Kindle Unlimited. Click here to access it!
And if you enjoy my writings, please tell your friends about the Life Soup newsletter (they can sign up here), “like” my blog posts or share them on social media, or leave an Amazon review for my books. All of these are free ways you can help an author, and they go a long way! 🙂
Thank you, and happy reading!
