Thoughts on watching what you eat, using your ears more than your mouth when it comes to family, and reflecting on your Thanksgiving to have an even better Christmas.

In a time of year when excess seems to rule, I like to look at it as a time to practice self-control of my mouth, in more ways than one. This focus begins for me in October when we have our annual Fall Family Fun Fest, followed by at least one Halloween party and trick-or-treating, and then the “meal of the year” – Thanksgiving. … (Content for Newsletter Subscribers only – Sign up here!)

What If We All …

In this section of LifeSoup, I include a suggestion on what each of us can do to try to nudge the Earth needle just a smidge in a more sustainable direction. A smidge! Don’t get excited or offended. 😉

Here goes: What If We All … Donated our collection of unused hotel soaps, lotions, and shampoos to local schools for their Family Resource Centers? Maybe you’re like me and you have a stash that you’ll never actually use. If so, pass them on to those who need them more. Contact your local school (or shelter) and ask if they accept these and when you can drop them off.
