Do you love podcasts as much as I do? I’m a total podcast junky. My listening choices fall into the categories of yoga, self-improvement, spiritual inspiration, and minimalism. Recently when I was listening, I heard about these three questions you should ask yourself when it comes to wanting to change your life:
What do you want to continue doing?
What do you want to stop doing?
What do you want to start doing?
While I had never heard this before (that I recall), it struck a chord because these are questions we can continuously be asking ourselves, month to month, year to year, and in various aspects.
They can apply to our careers, our hobbies, our health, and our relationships.
When I look at these questions, for example, I know that …
– I want to continue my yoga practice (I’m embarking on a 300-hour yoga teacher training soon).
– I want to stop habitually and mindlessly checking my email from my phone throughout the evenings and weekends.
– I want to start being more intentional about the food I eat by choosing more vegan options (this is part of my yoga practice of addressing the denial I’ve been in about animal suffering; I know this can be triggering, and I apologize – I’m only sharing this with you because it’s part of my journey and not because I expect it to be yours).
Take a minute to journal about these questions. What was the first thing that came to your mind when you read them?
Peace, love, and fire,
CherieDawn
P.S.
Are you asking yourself why this is under “Yoga Life” in LifeSoup? It’s because the practice of self-study is part of the eight limbs of yoga.
