How to Take a Self-Compassion Break
Welcome to this edition of LifeSoup.
Recently, I took a six-week course, including a five-hour meditation retreat, on self-compassion. It was led by Meera Murthi, PhD, someone I think I’ll always include in my list of teachers now. In the course, I learned about something called a self-compassion break and another great teacher on the subject, Dr. Kristen Neff.
I went into the course thinking I’d pick up some things to share with my students and loved ones, as well as learn how to be kinder to myself so that I can be more compassionate to others – a timeless endeavor, right?
