Being a creative person is not for the faint of heart. We constantly push through fears (of rejection, of failure, even of success) and challenges (improving our craft, getting our work seen, funding the expenses of creating, and navigating being misunderstood when others just don’t get it).
But we keep “making.” We keep writing, dancing, playing music, drawing, painting, singing, sculpting. Being human.
It’s a great life. 🙂
In the last LifeSoup, I shared a video Q&A on how to write when you don’t know what to write (this applies to all creatives). I’d love to hear your thoughts on this new way of experiencing LifeSoup – you can just comment below and let me know if you like the video format, or if you prefer reading about … well, all of this stuff that falls into our LifeSoup. 🙂 You can even send me your questions on creativity and writing. I’d love to be one of the people on your path that helps light the way.
Back to the Q&A … If you feel too busy to work on your writing or creative project, I get it (trust me!). Click here to watch the latest video for inspiration on finding – or making – time:
In addition to working on my new novel draft even just a little every week, I’ve been prioritizing my upcoming novel, Ashes for William. I’m self-publishing again, which means that one of my challenges is funding the costs.
While we’ve made it to the Kickstarter goal to cover the print and eBook costs, the stretch goal is to raise enough to have Ashes for William turned into an audiobook. It would really butter my toast to see this happen, so if you’re interested in being a part of it, please click here today (some of the rewards are very limited in availability and are time-sensitive).
Thank you to everyone who has shown support in any way – of this, and my writing at large. I hope to continue to bring you entertaining or inspiring nuggets through LifeSoup.
Peace, love, and gratitude,
Cherie Dawn

P.S.
If Kickstarter isn’t your jam, please know that Ashes for William will be published in early March and you can then order it from your local bookseller, Amazon, or Kindle, as you would any other book. I’ll share more about that when it’s available, so please stay tuned ~ thank you for your patience on the birth of this new book baby!
