Although I have a love/hate relationship with social media, one benefit of using Facebook is glancing at my “memories” section each morning. Seeing what I’ve been doing or how I’ve been feeling on the same day for the past decade has been … enlightening.
For example, there’s no denying the cyclical nature of my creativity in time with nature’s own cycles (read my article on Seasonal Creativity here), and July is no exception. The heat fuels my inner fire to create, to write, to dance, to put myself out there with a passion that is generally dormant in the winter, awakens in the spring, and peaks in the summer.
With that in mind, I wanted to share my thoughts with you on “3 Reasons to Say Yes,” inspired by an improv class I took years ago at Circus Mojo. Don’t worry; I’m not encouraging you to always say yes to everything because we all know how that ends. Give it a read here, and share your thoughts in the comments of the post.
This summer also welcomed the birth of the second book of meditation scripts I co-authored with two esteemed friends from the Writers’ Thingamajig group: “From Meditation to Creation 2: Meditations Inspired by the Animal Kingdom.” Read more about the meditations here, or visit Amazon to download it now.
As always, thank you for taking the time to read what I have to share. I hope it brings you inspiration and motivation to keep doing your own thing, be it writing, art, music, or any act of creativity. Just remember to breathe, pay attention to nature, and listen to your body.
Until next time,
Cherie Dawn
