Thank you for visiting this little corner of the internet I’ve created. My mission in life is to inspire others to practice forms of self-expression. I only know this because when I look back, that’s what I’ve been doing, intentionally or subconsciously, in many ways.
When I find things that inspire me, I’ll pass them along to you. For example, just recently I discovered self-proclaimed “grubby artist” Charlie Mackesy (@charliemackesy), whose new book is full of illustrations and words that remind me of the great zen teacher, Winnie the Pooh. I’m looking forward to getting a copy, and sharing it with the young people in my life.
In this month’s Life Soup newsletter, you’ll find my three favorite, tried-and-true bourbon recipes (consider it inspiration for the mouth), and some thoughts on how to quickly and efficiently deal with anger when it catches us off-guard. If you’re human, you might be able to relate. 😉
December LifeSoup News:
Earlier this year I was in the top 8 winners of Poetry Unites Kentucky for an essay I wrote about the concept of non-attachment, the constant state of change in our lives, and finding peace.
You can find my latest book, “Personified: Poetry, Prose, Short Stories, and Words of Advice for Young People” to Kindle Unlimited.
Looking ahead, I’m working on a draft of my next novel. It’s hard to say which version of the draft I’m on because it has taken so many different turns. You’ll hear more about this process as I go forward, and you’ll hear more about my ongoing yoga journey as well – I’m in the middle of a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training. The yoga helps my writing, and the writing helps my yoga. It’s a beautiful cycle.
Peace, love, and fire,
Cherie Dawn
